I have just read a very interesting article,on book covers,many publishers only allow you to use what they want,which many times is just not appropriate.Take female authors for instance,the publisher likes to use feminine graphics and colors,which might be alright in some cases but not all the time,this type of cover only appeals to females,not males,the content is very often readable by both male and female,obviously you then lose sales.
This is another reason why many authors are going the self publishing route,in order to have control of their content and marketing.After all the cover of the book is the first thing a potential reader and customer will see,it is so important that we get this right,always take a book by its cover.what do you think about book covers,leave a comment below and let me know.
